Christianity

"The Christian faith is not a ‘religion of the book’. Christianity is the religion of the 'Word' of God,
a word which is "not a written and mute word, but the Word which is incarnate and living."

September 8th 1997, Pope John Paul 2 formally promulgated the Edito Typica modifications.

And the man said, "The woman whom thou gavest to be with me,
she gave me of the tree, and I did eat.”
Genesis 3:12

Basically "Lord, I cannot tell a lie. She did it!"
So begins the history of misogyny.

Moses
The Ten Commandments

I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.

1. Thou shalt have no other gods before me.

2. Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth. Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: For I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and forth generation of them that hate me; and shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

3. Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.

4. Remember the Sabbath day and keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the Lord thy God : in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor your son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

5. Honour your father and thy mother: that the days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.

6. Thou shalt not kill.

7. Thou shalt not commit adultery.

8. Thou shalt not steal.

9. Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbor.

10. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbor’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor anything that is thy neighbor’s.

Exodus 20:2;17

Hail Mary

Ave Maria, Madre de Dios

Dios te salve Maria,
llena eres de Gracia,
El Senor es contigo,
Bendita Tu eres
entre todas las mujeres,
y bendito es el fruto
de tu vientre,
Jesus.

Santa Maria Madre de Dios,
Ruega por nosotros pecadores,
Ahora y en la hora
de nuestra muerte.

Amen

Hail Mary, full of grace:
the Lord is with thee;
Blessed art thou
among women, and
blessed is the fruit of thy womb,
Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God,
pray for us sinners,
now
and at the hour
of our death.

Amen

The Beatitudes

Blessed are the poor in spirit: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth.
Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.
Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God.
Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness’ sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.
Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven.

Padre Nuestro: Paternoster: Our Father: the Lord’s Prayer

Padre nuestro,
Que estas en el Cielo,
santificado sea Tu nombre;
venga a nostros Tu Reino;
hagase Tu Voluntad, asi
en la tierra comoen el cielo.
Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada dia;
perdona nuestras ofensas como tambien nostros
perdonamos a los que nos ofenden;
no nos dejes caer en tentacion
y libranos del mal.

Amen.

Our Father which art in heaven,
Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come.
Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory,
for ever.

Amen

Nicaean Creed

"I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth:
And in Jesus Christ his only Son our Lord,
Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost,
Born of the Virgin Mary,
Suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried,
He descended into hell:
The third day he rose again from the dead,
He ascended into heaven,
And sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty;
From thence he shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Ghost;
The holy Catholick Church;
The Communion of Saints;
The Forgiveness of sins;
The Resurrection of the body,
And the Life everlasting."
